Freedom 7

























With the launch of the last US Space Shuttle it's a sad day for the United States.

Once, a vibrant active participant in the exploration of space we now as a nation have decided to leave that journey to a combination of private business interests and other nations with a greater drive to explore then we seem to have.

Let's remember that excitement and pure joy of reaching out to the unknown by taking a look back to a warm day in May, 1961 when an American named Alan Shepard reached for the stars.




I can only hope that in my lifetime, I live to see us become that engaged, that excited again.
